Decathlon is one of the major events in modern Olympic Games, devised to test the speed, endurance and ability of athletes to define the 'Complete Athlete'. Have no fear, you need not undergo hours of training, rigorous diets, doping, or what have you, 5RingsDecathlon provides you with the chance to experience all the excitement of a real competition whenever you like on your mobile telephone screen. Like an Olympic athlete, you can choose which nationality to represent, the tracks to compete on and even whether to compete in a single event or the whole tournament. Competition may be against the computer which displays the graphics and controls the other athletes in the competition, or against other human players, who will take turns in the competition. In this last case, the mobile has to be passed to each player in turn.
In competitions where the athlete competes against measurements, such as high / long jump, javelin etc. the computer records your performance and awards medals according to where that performance places you. At the end of all the games in the tournament, the medals awarded are totted up and the player with the highest score wins the tournament There are 10 specialities foreseen in the competition and these are: 100 metres sprint, long jump, shot-put, high jump, 400 metre race, 110 metres hurdles, discus throwing, pole vault, javelin and 800 metres race.
