Illuminator

You will be given different-shaped pieces one at a time, which you can rotate and place where you want on the playing area. Upon placing the piece, all bulbs covered by the piece will be inverted, i.e. lit bulbs will turn off and unlit bulbs will light. A display at the bottom of the screen shows the next two pieces you will receive. There is a time limit to placing a piece, shown at the bottom right. If you fail to place the piece within the time limit, you will lose a life. If all lives are lost the game is over.

Each level is completed by lighting all the bulbs. The less time is used to achieve this, the higher your score. One extra life is also received upon completion of a level. There are two special kinds of piece that can be placed at will: the battery and the fuse. The battery inverts all bulbs around the bulb on which it is used. The fuse inverts an entire row or column of bulbs in the given direction. The number of batteries and wires is limited and they will have to be used sparingly. The player can exchange 5 lives for an extra battery.
